I’m a fully qualified and insured Nutritional Therapist, member of British Association for Nutrition and Lifestyle Medicine (BANT) and registered with Complementary & Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC). I was trained in Naturopathic Nutrition at the prestigious College of Naturopathic Medicine in London. I also hold a Postgraduate Certificate in Dietetics and Human Nutrition from the University of Cadiz in Spain. I constantly keep myself updated with ongoing study and learning.
I have always been interested in a healthy life-style and how food affects us and studying nutritional therapy has been one of the most rewarding things that I have done for the health of my family and for myself.
What I have learned and continue to learn through my training and practice as a Nutritional Therapist is that alternate pathways to health do exist and sometimes it only requires someone to take the time to listen and understand their story in order to piece the jigsaw together. Nutritional Therapy opens many doors in the ways it may benefit a wide variety of conditions and personally I feel privileged to have the opportunity to be able to work within this field.
I’m also currently completing my Cognitive Behavioural Therapy Diploma (accredited by the University of the West of Scotland) at the Institute of Counseling. This diploma is providing me an understanding of behavior change to enhance everyday practice as a nutritional therapist (change unhealthy eating behavior, use of motivational interviewing strategies and techniques, stress management, goal setting, etc...)
Nutrition has changed my life; it will change yours, too!’

How do I work?
After booking your appointment, a welcome pack will be sent to you via email, including a Health Questionnaire and a 3 Day Diet, which need to be completed before the consultation. During the initial 1 hour consultation, I take a detailed case history, building on the information from the questionnaire. I will ask you specific questions about your current health concerns, symptoms, diagnosis and treatment, medical history, family history, lifestyle, levels of physical activity, use of medication and supplements and diet.
After the Initial Nutrition Assessment, I will evaluate your individual needs and apply the extensive evidence-based of nutritional science to elaborate a personalised, safe and efficient Nutrition and Lifestyle Programme.
You will receive your Nutrition & Lifestyle Plan and Supplement Recommendations by email within 48 hours. This will include:
· therapeutic food focus explanation, recommending the foods that might be helpful in alleviating your symptoms, also including the foods that may be stopping you from getting better;
· sample meals and snack ideas;
· lifestyle suggestions tailored to suit you;
· supplement recommendations with a 25% client discount.
After receiving your plan, if anything is unclear and you need an explanation we can schedule a phone call or Face Time/ Skype conversation at no extra charge.
The payment for consultations is expected at least 24 hours in advance (via bank transfer). You can make a booking via email, over the phone or in the website chat box, whichever method is more suitable for you.
Often my work needs the interpretation of test results brought to me by clients. These tests may have been requested by other Nutritional Therapists or a General Practitioner or other clinician. Any functional laboratory testing is not included in the price of the consultations. It may not be needed, but in some cases it could help us to achieve a more complete understanding of a particular body system, discover the root of the problem or help me to better understand your unique nutritional requirements. I work with Genova Diagnostics laboratories and Biolab, which offer the most recent in clinical information, and I am able to provide an extensive menu of diagnostic tests at a discounted price. Some of the functional tests that I may use are:
· Comprehensive stool analysis
· Digestive function investigations
· Adrenal Stress Profile.
· Female hormone panels
· Urinary organic acid analysis
I work aswell with Lorisian food intolerance testing services that has over 35 years’ experience. These tests measure food-specific IgG antibodies which are sometimes referred to as food intolerances.
I also work closely with a team of experts in counselling psychology and alternative therapies specialised in food related emotional issues to integrate expertise.
Follow-up consultations are booked in at the end of your initial consultation and last up to 45 minutes. These are used to track your progress, make any required modifications or adaptations and evaluate test results. We usually book a follow-up consultation 4 - 6 weeks after the initial assessment.
Additional follow-ups may be required depending on each personal situation.
